Dr. Dephne Leong
Dr Dephne Leong graduated from National University of Singapore and pursued her specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, USA, earning both her Certificate in Endodontics and Master of Science in Oral Biology. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
During the course of her training, Dr Leong received the esteemed Louis I. Grossman Award for outstanding proficiency in the endodontic graduate programme. She also obtained several awards for research and academic achievements, including the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine Dean’s scholarship, first runner-up for poster presentation at the American Association of Endodontists Annual Session 2013 as well as Dean’s List.
Dr Leong was an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore and a Registrar at the National University Hospital Singapore (2013-2016). Before joining DentalSpecialists@Scotts, she practised as a Consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, a Visiting Consultant at National University Centre for Oral Health, Singapore, and a Clinical Lecturer at National University of Singapore.
Dr Leong is on the editorial board for several journals, including Journal of Endodontics. She is a councillor of the Asian-Pacific Endodontic Confederation and a committee member of the Society of Endodontists Singapore. She has published peer-reviewed scientific articles, and has lectured nationally and internationally.
